Categories and Subcategories was created by Steve Ice
Categories with subcategories do not display top-level documents. For example if I have the following:

Primary Directory

- Document #1
- Document #2

|_Sub-Directory

-- Document #3
-- Document #4

If the menu item is Categories view, it will display the category name and how many documents are in the category (4), but if you click on the primary category, it shows the sub-directory, but does not display the top-level documents #1-2.

How do I get a menu item to display a category, plus the documents in that category, along with the sub-directories?

Hi

Right now, the extension works in the way below :

1. If a category has sub-categories, when you access to that category, only sub-categories are displayed. No Documents from the main category displayed .

2. If a category has no sub-categories, the documents from that category will be displayed .

I now see some limitations with this approach, so I will improve it very soon so that when you access to a category, all subcategories + documents from that category will be displayed !

Please give me two weeks for doing this improvement !

Hi Tuan,

do you have an idea when you are able to publish this feature??

Another question beside....update to a new Version of eDocman....just do a normal installation?

Thanks and regards,

Lars

Hi Lars

The feature is now implemented (see the attached screenshot). However, we will need to do some more testing before making public release. Are you happy to help me to test it ?

Regards,

Tuan

Hi Lars

I tested it myself. It works well, so I added to download package on server and released version 1.0.4. So please login to your account, access to Customers Area -> Orders History menu item, download latest version and upgrade it to your site (just install new version over old version). After that, you will have the feature ready to use !

Tuan
