SOLVED !!! View Button in Table Layout

How does one add a view button in the table layout?

Create a template override an put the file in there.

templates//templatename/html/com_edocman/common

It does work, however I have both Word documents and PDF's on the same page and the view and download buttons do not line up.
See attached.

Just a couple of things, my override was for audio files, so I eliminated and changed a few things in the file.

On or around line 108, I would change "Play" to whatever else you like, maybe "View" ??

It seems that only the Word docs can't be viewed. Is it a permissions issue?

No, I think because you need a viewer or the software to see MS Word docs.

If the code could be swapped so the 'download' button was on the left hand column, and the 'view' button was in the right hand column it would line up ok.

But I don't know what I need to switch in your code to make that happen :dry:
