configuring default menu selections

Hi, it gets tedious having to change the default settings when adding products. how do I change the attached screenshot default settings?

When you adding a product, the default measure for length is Centimeter and for weight is Kilogram. There is no way to change that. The default Length Unit and Weight Unit that you change is the configuration is for the store.
