Checkout Remove Required Validation

Hello, i have created some custom fields for the checkout (Both Billing and Shipping Address).
They show/hide on selection from the user (select Receipt or Invoice).
I want them to be required if Invoice is selected so i have them all set up as required.

Is there a way to remove the required validation for specific fields in the frontend on click/select?
(the way i have it working now is by adding dashes to the fields i want to hide and then hide them with jQuery when user selects Receipt)

EDIT: Or even better if it's easier the reverse, how to call a validation error for a not required field.

I have a magento website that is going to be used solely for free digital downloads. I want people to register to keep track of who is taking the software but I only really want them to give their name, email, basic geo location, and their phone number. Their address ,zip ect. ShowBox Kodi Lucky Patcher I do not need. Is there an easy way I can remove the required field jquery call from the onepage checkout?
