Time format configuration not working correctly

I set the time format in Configuration to g:i a which I thought was a 12 hour format not a 24 hour format. When I set up a new Event it gives time options in 24 hours not 12 hours. I can enter the time in military time but I would prefer the 12 hour format. Help please.

The Time format setting you are talking about only affect the time displayed in calendar (if you configure the calendar page to display event time). For the date time from submit event form, the format is still hardcoded and could not be changed.
