Electronic Signature

Anyone have thoughts about how to configure a field that would be used for an electronic signature ? For some of our events, a parent is signing up their child, and we require that the parent electronically certify/sign the registration.

Unfortunately, we don't support this feature into the extension. So if you need something like that, you will need to customize the extension to implement this feature yourself

Several of my customers have need of a signature field. Too bad that Tuam does not plan to add such a feature. This diminishes the usefulness of Event Booking and I have had to use other Joomla form solutions -which do have a "signature" field- instead of EB.

I have need to have a customer sign terms and conditions in addition to liability release and consent. How much would it cost to have this facility?

We solved the need for electronic signatures by using this method:

We use Event Booking for the actual registration, and use RSForm!Pro (another Joomla extension) for forms and electronic signatures needed for the registration. Since those events that require electronic signatures also require the participant to fill out a questionnaire and sign it, this was the best solution for us. We got the extra form we needed, and we got electronic signatures.

We use URL redirects between the two extensions to take the registrant from Event Booking to the form in RSForm!Pro, then back again.

Tuan did do a bit of customization for us as we also wanted to be able to pass parameters back and forth between Event Booking and RSForm!Pro. If we had not wanted to pass parameters, it would have worked with simple URL redirects.

This process has been working great for those events that need electronic signatures.

ADaniel, any chance you can post a bit more details? Where did you setup the URL redirect in Event Booking to go to RSForm!Pro? Was it pre-submit or post-submit?
