Limit number of users for waiting list

Hello

I want to use the waiting list. Is there wa way to limit the number of users for the waiting list?

Example: I want to allow 3 users only to join the waiting list. If 3 users have joined, a message is shown to the other users: Sorry, our waiting list is full.

Possible?
