Safari + Stripe cart isue was created by Amanda
Hello EB team
Firstly, thanks for making EB available to us all. It's a fantastic product.. I have had very good feedback from my website users!
My issue with Safari + Stripe:
My Safari users are reporting a bug with the shopping cart.. so I have taken some time to reproduce the issue.
- Safari 8, OSX 10.10
- EB cart option enabled for site..
- dummy events ABC and XYZ are created
- ABC and XYZ are available on timelineview
- Stripe plugin is enabled as the only methos of payment
- users are not expected to register on joomla
1. Load 'Timeline' events view
2. Click Register button for event ABC
3. Choose number of tickets and then select more events
4. Back on the timeline page, register for second event XYZ
5. Select number of tickets and go to checkout option
6. User fills in details
7 user agrees to privacy policy and terms and conditions
8.user hits the checkout option
9. stripe checkout page appears briefly (appears for less than a second, purchase details look correct)
10. it looks like the Safari browser automatically performs "back" operation - new EB checkout form appears, no details are filled in
11. registrant appears as "pending" in administration registrants page
Workaround:
If user performs checkout operation for a single event only then something slightly different happens:
- stripe page appears briefly
- popup dialog warns whether user wants to resend for data
- click cancel, then the user can complete registration payment
Chrome, IE and firefox - no issues reported
Any ideas of how this can be resolved?

Hello Amanda
So users are seeing Stripe Checkout page? Then being redirected back to Events Booking ?
If so, maybe you would have to ask Stripe support and ask them to take a look at it. The reason is because everything on Stripe website (Stripe Checkout page) is handled by Stripe, not by Events Booking
Maybe try to contact them and ask them to see if they have any clues about that error?
