Hi,
New EU guidelines coming through in september will include the need for two factor authentication for Stripe payments.
Is Joomdonation / will joomdonation - be ready to handle this?
Here are the details: stripe.com/au/payments/strong-customer-a...tomer-authentication

Hi,
Currently, we are working hard to find solution to solve this kind of problem. Maybe we should release new Stripe payment plugin because the new workflow is total difference with current JD Stripe structure.
Thanks
Dam

Hi Dam

Rather than develop a new plugin perhaps you could adapt a ready made one:
www.lesarbresdesign.info/extensions/payage
It has a published API as well.

Trevor

I do not need the new version, I do not meet any of the requirements so Stripes support said I can use the current method.

I would appreciate not being forced to switch to this new method but have a choice.

I like the idea offered here.

Perhaps this would be a great time to unify all the payment plug-ins - it always struck me as odd that you keep separate code versions of stripe plug-in for the different products you do - keeping one that works for all would make everyone's life much easier!

They charge per extension + payment plugin, so they would need a different solution or...?

Hi,
We have just completed new Stripe Checkout version, but it doesn't support recurring. Maybe we still release it, and in future, we will consider to find solution to implement recurring donation type for Stripe Checkout payment plugin.
Thanks

Hi Dam

Just to clarify, does this mean that in order to be SCA compliant we need to purchase the Stripe Connect plugin or are you planning on making the current plugin compliant before the September deadline?

Thanks
Trevor
