Although I have set "Send email to honoree" to no in the configuration panel, it still appears on the donation page.

Hi,
That configure option is used to turn on/off email to honoree, it isn't effect to fields in Donation page.

Then how do I remove that field? If someone gives in memory of someone, the way the field is worded makes it sound like the email is sent to the one who is dead.

You can leave that field empty, because currently, Joom Donation doesn't have configure option to hide field: Honoree's email in Donation form.

Hi,
You can use Translation tool at Backend of Joom Donation to change the title of field

Did you consider my earlier suggestion:

The ability to make a donation in honor of someone is great addition but I think it needs an additional field titled 'Honoree's Representative' and the 'Honoree's Email' label changed to 'Representative's Email'.

The reason being is that if the donation is in honor of someone who has deceased an email is sent to the deceased person - which might cause distress!

A donation was made in in memory of Judy Smith by Trevor Smith. The £ 27.00 donation that Trevor made to the Beaulieu Churches General Funds fund in your name will help our cause and be put to good use making a difference.
