Subscription Renewal Behaviour was created by intouchweb
Noticed a new option to set the subscription renewal behaviour as either "Create new Subscription" or "Update Subscription".
I believe "Create New Supbscription" was the previous default.

If we set this to 'Update Subscription' does that mean the Subscription history for members will only be displayed as a single row now with a single start date and expiry date? And only show the most recent invoice?

Also, how will it be displayed if there is a gap in the users memberships, eg if they were a member in 2016 and 2018 but were NOT members in 2017?

Hi

1.Yes, it will work like that. But only for new subscription. For existing subscriptions, you will have to wait for subscribers to renew their subscription before seeing the records merged into one - basically, one record for one plan

2. It will be 2016 to 2018. It can only show the start date of the original subscription and then end date of last subscription. There is no way for it to determine the gap

3. And honestly, this option is not 100% reliable yet, especial with recurring subscriptions. In some special condition, it can cause un-expected behavior. So for now, maybe stick with default Create New Subscription option

Love the "unexpected behaviour" part, made me laugh, but really good honesty Tuan

The unexpected behavior, if happens, might cause by subscription records created long time ago. If it's new subscriptions or subscriptions created not long time ago (like in the last 2 years), it would work well
