Discount for new members

We are currently discussing a suggestion to offer a one off discount to all new members.

I was wondering whether this could currently be achieved by setting a negative figure in the "Setup Fee" setting in each membership plan?

So for example if we set the "setup fee" as -$10, would that be correctly applied by the system as a $10 discount?

If so, perhaps this setting would be better described as "Setup Fee/Discount" ?

Otherwise it may be a good improvement suggestion...?

I can see the other alternative would be to create a discount code but that currently cannot be applied automatically to first timers so it would require more manual admin effort.

I don't think we support negative setup fee. If you want to offer discount for all members , maybe the best way would be give them a Public coupon code
