Subscription submitted but payment not completed

Hi Tuan,

If a user submits the subscription form and the authorize.net payment form opens up - but then the user does not complete the payment form and just closes the payment window - the record with status as pending is entered as a subscription in the Membership Pro back-end. Is this a bug? Shouldn't the subscription record be entered only if the authorize.net payment is completed? Or is this the intended behavior?

We are thinking that it is confusing for the administrator who is managing the subscriptions - that it is difficult to distinguish between a pending subscription that was completed and one that was abandoned. Please advise.

Hello Diane

That's an expected behavior. When people enter data on subscription form, before they are being redirected to payment gateway for processing payment, the data is stored in database and the status of the subscription record is Pending

Once he made payment, the status is active. There is no way for the system to only record data after payment completed

If you don't want this kind of records, go to Extensions -> Plugins, publish this plugin System Membership Pro Cleaner

That plugin is run every 2 hours and will clear the pending records without making payment like that if it is created in the system more than 5 hours

That might help reduce the confusing you said
