PDF Indexer capabilities and updates

The PDF Indexer might be just what i am looking for to be able to search through hundreds (maybe thousands) of pages of pdfs created from newspaper scans - is this the sort of thing it would cope with?

I notice it hasnt been updated for a long time, are there any issues with Joomla 3.9?

Hi Richard,
If your PDF files contain the scanned pictures from newspapers, PDF indexer will not able to index content. It only can read the text in your PDF files (not images)

Yes i understand that, there is nothing to index in an image after all!
So it is fully compliant with latest Joomla?

I have bought it now and when logged in i click on "Documentation" and get a new page with

Error
You are not authorised to view this resource.

Can i get the instructions form somewhere asap please?

Ok thanks - the issue is on YOUR SITE though not mine - i cant get to the documentation about the extension as it says i am not authorised.

Hi Dam

The link you provided refers to file names which seem to have changed? For instance my parent file is not called doc_indexer_unzip.zip It is called edocman_unzip_first_1.11.0.zip

Also the files you refer to as com_docindexer.zip (main component) and plug_docindxer_search.zip (the search plugin to search for indexed documents) seem to be renamed com_edocman.zip and plug_edocman_indexer.zip respectively?

Finally, you refer to:

Click on New index button to index documents . In this screen, you need to enter folder where documents uploaded to, choose access permission. After that, wait for all the documents from that folder to be indexed.

I cannot see this "NEW" button
