With this extension, does each property need to be added manually or can you (hopefully) specify a town or zip code and have it pull all of the listings for that region?

When you add new property, you should enter location for the property like Address, City, State ..etc
OS Property doesn't have feature to detect the location automatically.

I just want to clarify… other options that I'm researching all seem to have the ability to pull all of the listings within a particular zip code using (in this case) the Brooklyn, NY MLS system. I have an IDX if that matters.
