Order status changes ~ how does it work?

Just wondering if/when order status is changed when a payment is made automatically, using PaymentExpress (PxPay) or PayPal.

If the payment is successful, does the order status get changed automatically to 'processed'?
If the payment is declined, does the order status get changed automatically to 'denied' or 'failed' (I have both of those published in the system settings).

Or must it be done manually by admin?

Hello Andy,

Thank you for submitting the question here. When you use online payment gateway as PaymentExpress or PayPal, after customer made the payment to complete order, the order status should be changed to 'processed' or 'completed' automatically and the system will send the notification email.

If customer does not make the payment or the payment is declined, then the order status is still Pending.
