Spaces in credit card numbers

Not sure if this is a bug or by design, but I just found out that if you enter a card number with spaces in (i.e. as 1234 5678 etc rather than 12345678 etc) the booking form allows it but then when you click to process it you get an error message that the card number is invalid.

I guess it should either automatically strip out the blank spaces or put the error message about invalid card number as soon as you tab out of that entry box?

At the moment, we don't remove the space before the credit card number is being passed to the payment gateway. I am going to work on it and update the code during this weekend

You can come back and download Events Booking on Monday and it will solve this issue

OK. The code is updated. The spaces now will be removed automatically by the extension (using javascript code)

You can download latest version from My Downloads section, upgrade it to your site to prevent this issue

Sorry but just tried it and it doesn't remove the spaces and still gives the same error result.

UPDATE - I disabled the "offline" payment plugin and then the removing spaces started working. I have just re-enabled it and the space removal still working, so not quite sure what is going on there?

That's strange to me. It should not depend on the offline payment plugin. Could you please send me the link to the page so that I can check it quickly ?

The offline payment module is active but access is set to "registered"

That said, all seems to be working now after that initial toggle of the module.

Yes it is working now. The issue was that it didn't work when I first installed/updated to this new version, so I let you know what I did that seemed to get it to work, just in case others see same problem and just in case it gives you some idea as to why it didn't work to start with. Thanks for your help on this.
