Hide Google Maps was created by Bettin

Hallo OS-Team,
my customer does not want to have any connection to Google on the website. So I tried to eliminate the connection to Google Maps. But for a very short time the map is always will be shown.
How is it possible only to show a adress without a link to the map?

Hi Bettin

At the moment, we don't have an option to display link without link to the map. So if you want to display it, you will need to customize code

Try to look at the file components/com_eventbooking/view/common/tmpl/event_properties.php, you should see the code for linking to the map and can remove it

Dear Tuan,

we should have this opportunity also. Plz implement a switch: show map yes/no. Instead a popup with the address would be fine and enough!

Instead of showing address in popup, shouldn't we display it under the location name directly?

Dear Tuan,

thank you for the fast reply.

I just worry about the side effects. If you show the address below the location name, it needs more space.

If me, I would prefer in popup.

For your need, try to get this file, unzip it, upload to components/com_eventbooking/view/map/tmpl folder to see whether it works as you want?

Great to hear that it works. You should move that modified file to PATH_TO_TEMPLATE/html/com_eventbooking/map folder so that the change won't be lost when you update Events Booking in the future

Dear Tuan,
I placed the modified default.php to the path /templates/beez3/html/com_eventbooking/map.
It works, but it is not a popup like before.
I would like it could be a popup with this solution. Do you have a suggestion?
