Default Email Address

Hi There

I'm having a problem. I am testing out joomdonations on a clients site.

When using the paypal method of donating all the notifications sent to the user have the default address robynireton@gmail.com.

Where can I change the default address?

Hi Bo

You can change the email address by doing the following steps :

1. Login to back-end of your site .

2. Going to Joom Donation -> Configuration .

3. There is a config option called Notificaiton email. You can change the email there (multple emails are possible, just seperate them by comma) .

Thanks for getting back to me. I have checked the back-end and the email address is correct. However I just tested a donation again and the wrong email keeps coming up.

The only thing i can think of is that it uses the website administrators email address as default?

Maybe you set this email for the campaign ? Could you please login to back-end, go to Joom Donation -> Campaigns management.

Then edit the campaign, look at Messages tab to see whether you set notification emails there. If you enter email for campaign, it will override the emails you set it configuration area .

Please check it and let me know the result .

I have just checked and there was no address under messages in this particular campaign.

I have added one now and will do a test to see if it is working fine.

Just tested it and it is still sending me an email from robynireton@gmail.com

I would like to be able to not have the default Joomla address for the global config be the reply address for the emails. I changed it to something else and that was the reason. Can it be changed to an email other than the site email in global config/server mail settings?

I am sorry for lately response. I just come back from holiday.

Right now, Joom Donation use From Name and From Email from Global Configuration to send email to donors and administrator. If you want to change that email, you can make small modification to the code .

Open the file components/com_jdonation/helper/helper.php, looks at the code at line 135 -> 136 :
Change it to meet your need . For example :
