Renewing before date due was created by John Willems
I have recurring subscription membership. I have started to see the subscription renewing before the current month is ended.

Here is from the monthly notice sent to a customer
Plan Monthly
Username xxxxxxx
Subscription Start Date 06-27-2017
Subscription End Date 07-27-2017

Here is what is important. Today is June 25 and their current month ends tomorrow June 26. Yet is showing a renewal for Jun 27.

When I look at the Subscriptions I see two active monthly subscriptions:

Monthly 06-27-2017 To 07-27-2017 06-25-2017 10:08:32 $10.00 Active 941
Monthly 05-26-2017 To 06-26-2017 05-25-2017 10:09:27 $10.00 Active 850

Can someone explain what is happening and if I should need to change a setting?

This just happened again different customer

Monthly 07-11-2017 To 08-11-2017 06-26-2017 07:34:30 $10.00 Active 944
Monthly 06-10-2017 To 07-10-2017 06-10-2017 06:55:15 $10.00 Active 893

Is the customer doing this? Renewing manually?

Look like customers renew subscription manually for some reasons. Maybe the renewal email messages were sent and they renewed their subscription manually?

In this case, I guess to be sure, you should try to emailed one of your customer and ask them to see whether they renewed the subscription manually?

Thanks for the response. After looking at everything in detail yesterday I have to agree, it seems to be the logical explanation.

I am trying to find a way to better educate my members about what "not" to do. Its hard to get people to read the instructions.

In case it is a recurring subscription plan, I am afraid of you will have to check and cancel the manual renewal. If I understand correctly, the person who performing the renewal will now have to recurring subscriptions in stripe, so he might be double charged

You should check your stripe account to make sure it doesn't happen to avoid making him upset

That issue is what caused me to pay more attention to what is occurring. I wished there was a way to not allow for any manual renewal of a recurring subscription. I have Enable Renewal turned off in the plan setup. Still they seem to be finding a way to do it.

I need to protect members from themselves.

Can we please get an answer to this? How can we either prevent manual renewal of a recurring subscription OR how do we manage it?

Thanks in advance for your response!

Set Enable Renewal to No in plan setting should prevent this issue

However, it also not allow users to renew their subscription even if the subscription is expired (for example, credit card expired or not enough fund....)

I will need to check and implement the code so that in case someone has active subscription of a recurring plan, they won't be allowed to renew it again....

Give me few days to work on it
