Hello, I have a problem with my customers that have credit card info correct, but the bank refuses payment :
Stripe states the account as "Do not Honor" but Membership Pro does not take this in account.
Please provide a way to easily and automatically check member account and deactivate access, if manageable

Hi Gosse

Could you please give me more information:

1. Is this one time or recurring subscription?

2. You are saying that you didn't receive payment but Membership Pro still makes the subscription active?

I honestly, don't know how it could happen as we just call Stripe API for processing payment and in case Stripe return success status, we will mark the subscription as active, otherwise, it remains Pending

1) This is on recurring subscription, but the payment can be failed even on the first time

2) Yes the payment is refused by the bank, but Membership still makes the subscription active (still on picture)

In order to make subscription I made a page with a module to Membership Pro subscription plan ( hypnoledge.com )
Waiting your kind reply, I can provide logs or anything else...

I am sorry. I missed your last response. I still don't know exactly how it happens

So Stripe give Do not Honor error right after users sign up? Or one or two days later when they actual process payment? I am trying to understand exactly how it works to find a solution for this issue

Hello
after checking correctly, it is on the 2 or 3 months after subscription, for the recurring time, not a the signup.
Then for the recurring, one month after succesful payment, the bank declined the payment, but the site is still accessible for the user.

It is normal that the site is still accessible to users. The important question here is what's the subscription status of the subscriber?

Is the subscription expired or still active? If it is expired, then it is an expected behavior (the system didn't block user account when subscription expired because if we block, users could not login to renew or subscribe to other plans if they want)

Halas the subscription is still active, not expired, so the person can still use fraudulently the site.
Have you an idea for stopping this ?

Hello Gosse

Could you please check the subscription end date of the subscription and compare it with current date? If it is smaller than current date, then it should be expired

If it is greater than current date, then active is an expected behavior

Basically, when someone cancel recurring subscription, he won't be expired immediately. He will however, be active until the end of current subscirption duration

Maybe it will be better if you can submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of the site and tell me a sample subscription record which is having this issue so that I can check the data to figure out the reason?
