Custom Fields Problem was created by James
Hi, looks like an issue with custom fields.

I have created a couple of them, mapped them to my 5 plans, however they still show in the membership profile...

They do however show in the subscription, I setup a test subscription, I filled these readonly fields out in the background, but the data is reflected also on the user profile, an indicator that these fields aren't completely useless.

Is anyone able to explain why this is? If I add another subscription will they disappear from the profile tab?

Thanks

I think I may have answered my own question here - it seems that it is a convenience that this data is available on the user profile when only 1 subscription exists?

Hi James

The custom fields will only be displayed in user profile if:

1. They are assigned to all plans (instead of you selecting it for individual plans only)

2. Or user only subscribed for only one plan which the field is assigned to

So if you want this field to be displayed in profile, please assign it to all plans and it will work OK

Tuan

Yes, it appears that #2 applies here.

OK so no realistic workaround - I'm writing user guides at the moment so I will make room for this.

Thanks again for the prompt support. :)
