Shipping quantity method and individual override

Hi,
We want to sell our products with a basic flat rate system using the quantity method:
1 x product = $30 shipping
2 x product = $40 shipping
and so on
This works fine with the quantity shipping plugin.
But - we have one product that is different from all the others and should have a lower shipping cost.
How do I achieve this?

For that special product, I'd like shipping to be
1 product = $15
2 product = $30 and so on.

On a separate web site I have a similar issue where one set of products should cost a low price each for shipping, and the other set of products should cost a higher price. Is there a way of doing this in Eshop (or can it be added?)

If I understand it right, the Item shipping plugin would be what I need - as it lets me specify different costs based on each individual product.

That is right. So each item will have a separated shipping cost, then the system will calculate total shipping cost of items in the cart and show to the customer.

One more question about the 'item shipping plugin' - does this only allow me to specify a set price per product or can it have a variable price discounted with more orders?
In other words,
1 x product = $20 postage
2 x same product = $30 postage (or would it only let me charge $40 for 2 x of the same product?)

For now, it allows you to enter shipping price for quantity = 1. So if you enter $20, then 1 x product = $20 shipping, 2 x same product = $40 shipping, 3 x same product = $60 shipping.

If you want it to work in another way, then we must customize to Quantity Shipping plugin.
