I've just bought the import tool for eshop.
Is there any way that I can import categories using the cat id as opposed to the current system.

Hi Nigel,

As I already answered you via email. You can only use category_name field to import categories, it is impossible to use category_id

Sincerely, Giang

Is it something that isn't at all possible ? I have an opencart component that works off off the cat and parent cat id's , i can code and so may have a go at adapting it unless there is something specific about Eshop or Joomla that wouldn't make it possible ?
Regards
Nigel

Hi Nigel,

As I said, you can use category_name and you can not use category_id. If you would like to change that, let's do it by yourself.

Sincerely, Giang
