Hi,

I just purchased EDocman and I have two initial questions:

1. I am creating documents that are just links to remote documents. I provide URLs to the PDF documents. For example, see the page:

salient.herzenberglab.org

I created the link "Coffee Manual" as a test. When I click on this link, I'm taken to a page that shows an empty file name, empty file size, etc. They can then click the download link to view the PDF document in their browser.

What I want to happen is that when the visitor clicks the "Coffee Manual" link that they are directly taken to the PDF document. Is this possible?

2. For remote PDF documents, does EDocman have the ability to build a search index for them? For example, EDocman could download the PDF document for the purposes of indexing one time, make the index, then delete the temporarily-downloaded PDF document. Can EDocman do this today with remote documents?

I am not permitted to store the PDF documents on my local server; however, I am permitted to store locally search indexes. It's a legal thing.

Thanks for your help!
