SOLVED !!! Permissions Problems

Hi Tuan,

We are currently switching from Docman to EDocman and we're having some problems with permissions. Inherited permissions, in some instances, are not propagating down to the documents. The main problem seems to be with the "Guest" permissions for documents in sub categories. We were able to get the correct permission by manually performing a "save and close" on each document. We did not do this in one subcategory Tournament Results/2013 Tournaments, so that we could troubleshoot the problem. Below is a table showing the permissions settings:

The question is how did you perform migrating data ? Maybe you can try to follow this step :

1. Login to administrator area of your site

2. Access to the following urls : domain.com/administrator/index.php?optio...k=rebuild_categories

3. Access to urls : domain.com/administrator/index.php?optio...sk=rebuild_documents

By doing that, the ACL settings will be re-calculated for categories and documents. Hopefully, it will solve your issue

Running the rebuilds did not solve either problem. I have submitted a support ticket.

Hi Tuan,

Rebuilds did not solve problems. Updating Joomla to 3.4.5 caused Edocuments to disappear from the admin menu. Re-uploaded Edocs. Permission problems solved. Problem with "View" in "State Rankings" category documents persisted. Deleted category then recreated category and reassigned documents. Problem solved.
