Is there a way to show all of the documents uploaded in the frontend, grouped together by their category?

Ideally, I want this type of layout: 

www.gowersailshades.co.uk/brochure

But this is all I can get when using the "Edocman > Column Layout" layout:

www.gowersailshades.co.uk/brochures-new

Hi Rusty,
Edocman doesn't have layout like your Brochure example, if you need that layout, we will need to customize the Edocman layouts to have the think you want

Hi,
To implement that layout, i don't think you just need to modify one layout file. But you can check documents column layout in:
root -> components -> com_edocman -> view -> common -> documents_column.php
