When I try to upload a PDF file that was signed in Adobe, I am getting the error:

"Save failed with the following error: Secured pdf file are currently not supported."

The file is not visible to users in the front end. When I try to upload from the front end, nothing happens. I am just returned to the upload form.

However, the file does, in fact, upload to the server and is visible there via FTP. It can be viewed and downloaded from my server. It also works if I upload the file into the Joomla4 media manager and embed the link in an article, or even as a linked document in Edocman. So this only happens when I try to upload the document into Edocman directly via the frontend or backend.

Is there a setting I'm missing for signed PDFs? I was able to upload signed PDFs back in 2023. This has happened with the recent upgrade.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi Robynlingen,
Please open plugin: PDF Indexer, in plugin parameters form, please select Yes in field: Use Popen. And then, changing permission of file:
root -> plugins -> edocman -> indexer -> binaries -> linux -> pdftotext to 777
and try to upload documents again
Thanks
Dam
