02nd March 2023 - New version 1.25.4 - Introducing Gallery layout

The Edocman developer team are proud to announce the release of Edocman 1.25.4. This is a fifth release for the 1.25.x series of Edocman with new improvements and bugs fixed.

What's new in Edocman 1.25.4
1. Fix serious issue when changing parent category
This is a serious error in old Edocman version, it originates from changing the parent-child relationship of categories. This leads to changing the path to the documents in the database, and causing the download functions of extension won't work properly. We analyzed and found the cause, then resolved this error. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you upgrade Edocman 1.25.4 to avoid errors occurring, causing potential errors in your documents management system.

2. Add Categories gallery layout
In this Edocman version, we introduce new layouts for Categories, it's Gallery layout. For documents related to the image field, the Gallery layout is a better choice.



You have 2 ways to show categories in Gallery layout
- You can setup menu to layout: Categories list, and select Gallery layout in param: Select Categories Layout in menu parameters form.
- When you add/edit category, you can select Gallery in field: Category Layout, thus, if the current category has sub categories, they will be shown in Gallery layout

3. Improve Documents Gallery layout (Columns layout)
In previous Edocman versions, we already have Columns layout to show documents in grid view. From this version, we change Columns layout to Gallery layout to be consistent with the Gallery layout of categories. Besides that, we also improved that layout to make it more beautiful and neat than before.
