Dear all,

Google Analytics feature is already added to the latest version 2.8.1 of EShop. Please upgrade EShop to have it.

Sincerely, Giang

If we currently have google analytics installed for the whole site.. is there any advantage to putting the google analytics account into the eshop?

Also, any documentation out there about setting goals for purchases on the eshop?

Hello Vincent,

You simply upload the EShop to the latest version, then enable the Google Analytics feature from the configuration, then you will have it on Eshop on your site.

I feel like you mis-understood my question.

I have already installed Google Analytics to the entire site. Google Analytics is even in the source code for the item page and checkout page..

Is there any reason why we would need to install the Google Analytics from the configuration of the EShop? I was wondering if by our "whole Site" installation of the analytics code, miss out on anything, if installing it via the EShope configuration?

Hello Vincent,

The EShop Google Analytics feature in EShop can be only used for EShop. If you have already had that feature for whole of your site from template or any other third extension, then you don't need to setup and enable EShop Google Analytics feature in EShop.

Sincerely, Giang
