Lets say for an example i have
Category1
Category2

when i choose the eshop module in joomla i would like to show Category1 on the sidebar and Category2 on the main body.

Hi,
I know this is old but maybe it still helps.
create a menu item with desired category, then use component anywhere plugin to show that menu item inside a module or anywhere you like(hence the name). It's free by the way.
