Cost field

Is there a reason why there isnt a cost field for products. Something that will let me know my profit margin for each product. I would have thought this would be a vital part of the dashboard.

If you edit a product in EShop, under Data tab, you will see the Product Price field to enter price for product. What's problem that you have?

Sorry you have misunderstood.

Not price, cost.

Example. The item cost $40 I sold it for price $60 my profit is $20.

Also while you are online. I am looking at accounting packages joomla or otherwise. What do you recommend to work with eshop.

I am sorry but we don't have option to show the item cost and calculating profit for product.

We don't know any accounting extension in Joomla so I can not recommending you. You should go to Joomla website to find one to meet your requirement.

Would it be difficult to add in a future build? I am sure there would be many people that are interested in knowing what profit they are making from their sales. It's kind of fundamental to business.
