I just realized that it's not possible as admin in the backend to renew a membership as the user can to from the front end when is logged in. My customer is now facing this issue...
It's not a viable solution just to update the membership date in the current membership because previous subscriptions will not shown in the history listing and the invoice/receipt number will be duplicated. Also, the admin can't simply copy the previous registration and modify the date, the invoice number is still duplicated.
The other possibility for the admin is to create a new entry by copying member information manually, but it is time consuming and not very handy.
So I suggest to add a button or function in the admin interface (member listing) so the administrator can renew subcription as the user can do in its account.
