Hello,
I would like to have users provided the option to make a donation on an event registration. We can achieve this with a fee field custom field, however, then then tax would be applied to that donation if using sales tax. Donations are not taxed.
Is it possible to have a configuration option added to a fee field that exempts it from the tax calculation, in other words, it gets added to the final total but tax is not applied to it? The workflow would be simple (but I realize not as simple to code
- when the user selects that the custom field is a fee field, there could be another box that says Exempt from tax YES/NO.
I would pay for this customization if required that could then be provided to all in the core version,
