EMAIL - Pending Registration

Hello group,

I'm looking to see who else might be interested in this functionality.

I think it would be nice to have a "reminder" feature to send emails to those that have a pending registration. I recently had an issue with the IPM message from PayPal to EB. Turns out the registrant Paid but never updated EB. If I would have sent an email (lesson learned) this could have been solved prior to the event.

Right now I am searching for all pending registrations, and then manually sending an email.

I would really love this functionality. Would you?

Example:

Hello,

Thank you for visiting <INSERT SITE NAME> on <INSET DATE>. We noticed you started to register for during your visit, but did not complete the registeration. How can we help?

If you are still interested in registering for this event you can register at: <INSERT URL>


If you have any questions or need help registering please let me know.

I like the idea and seems it's becoming common practice on a number of sites.

I sent out 6 emails last night and 4 registered within 1 hour of the email and 1 more this morning.

Sounds like a good idea to me (especially when the person in charge of processing registrations doesn't seem to like contacting pending registrants herself because she feels that she is nagging them and if they really wanted to register, they would contact her themselves... )

I totally agree... Again last night I had for one event one pending registration, send an email and ... voila 2 hours later they registered.

I'm hoping that this will make it into a future version!

Can I also add my name to this feature - Sounds like a great addition and one I can use every day!

The idea is good but to answer this very problem I think we'd better figure out what's wrong with paypal IPN, because I am in the same case as you are. Then to be able to contact those customers who did not made it through the registration problem might be interesting, even though there should be a good timing to send the email, because most of them (in my case) need time to make their choice.
