auto reminder?

Recently, my event will start.
I set before 1 day , to send the reminder letter
however, there are some question

1.How it send the letter? Without cron?
Or I need to open the browser?

2.When it will sent the letter? regularly?

You don't need to setup a cron job. The extension has a system plugin which will trigger and send the reminder automatically .

The plugin will check and send the reminder emails each 30 minutes !

We use system plugin for sending reminder, so the time is not controllable, it depends on when your site has visitors.

Basically, when someone access to your site, the system plugin will be run. At that time, it will check to see whether it needs to send reminders or not. if it is needed, then the emails will be sent

I know what you mean.

Just I feel it is a little strange.
Because the managers can't control the status of letters sending
We don't know how many visitors will visit our sites at the day of sending reminder.

Do you mean that the plugin will run if people visit the frontend?
My reminders for the last couple of events have not gone out and I'm just trying to identify the issue. There would have been frontend visitors each day but only occasional login to the backend (ie when I'm doing site updates and such).
