How to add links to events in an article?

I am using JCE on a Joomla 2.5 site. It can select content, menus, contact, and web links when adding a link to a phrase in an article.

What is the best/recommended way to generate links to specific events so that, for example, we can point people directly at the registration information and event detail?

I would prefer something that works correctly even if I make a backup of the site into another folder (for testing, etc).

Right now, I'm putting in full URLs as the link, which I don't want to do if possible.

Sorry Stephan. At the moment, there is no way to embed link to event accept you enter the direct link. In the next release, I will develop an editor plugin which allow you to insert event easily into article (the same way as adding content).

For now, please use the way you are doing and wait for my next release !

When we can expect the next release of Events Booking? I have to finish a site next week and write a short documentation. It would be so much easier, if the client could insert a link to an event with a JCE plugin.

Sorry, we don't have that plugin. We only develop a plugin which allow you to insert event detail page into an article (eb event plugin).

We don't have a plugin to allow you to insert link to event into article yet (no plans for it now). So maybe you will have to enter link directly to the event into the article.

The link has the following format:

index.php?option=com_eventbooking&view=event&id=ID_OF_THE_EVENT
