mini-calendar does not give events on date chosen

When I click on a date on the mini-calendar it gives me a list of all active events (for all dates) instead of just the event(s) on the date chosen.

The bigger problem is that the dates don't show at all in the list, which seems rather absurd seeing as the list was generated as a result of a search by date!

I looked all thru the configuration options and couldn't find the right thing to resolve the problem.

Seems something is not correct. When you click on the date of the mini calendar which has events, only events from that date will be displayed !
