Could you please explain more details ? What module you are talking about ? Maybe you can attach a screenshot of the module so that I can see, understand what you want and find a solution .

Hi
The event will need to be unpublished in this case. However, instead of unpublishing it manually when it is full, you can simply go to Extensions -> Plugins Manager, find and publish the plugin "Events Booking - Unpublish Events".
From now one, each time event is full, it will be unpublished automatically.
That should be the easiest way.
