FREE Event + Paid Event

Hi, Just wondering if I can combine free events and paid events on the same system at the same time and only display payment plugins if the event is a paid event.

The main reason for doing this, is I want to have a complimentary event that doesn't display payment options. This link will only be available to a special group. The rest will register and pay.

Events Booking support both free and paid events, so Yes, you can do that. If you don't want registration available for the free events, you can simply edit the event, set Registration Type to Disable Registration.

Yes. If you want to collect registrants information, please don't set Registration Type to Disable Registration. Just setup it as normal event, just price field set to 0.

I however cannot get it to stop displaying the payment options. Could it be because I have fee fields in my custom fields?

Yes. If you are having custom fee fields for the events, the payment options will still have to be displayed because when you have fee fields, users will still have to make payment.

So maybe just assign these fee fields to paid events only ?

Unfortunately this doesn't work

I have removed all Fee Fields under my Custom Fields for that particular event, but it still displays the payment method at the bottom.
