Still Supporting EB was created by Kelark
Hello Tran,
I noticed that there has not been an update for Event Booking since September of last year. A few of us have been waiting for some promised feature upgrades such as custom fields for categories for quite a while.
I am wondering if this project is ongoing or are you phasing it out?
I bought this program without that feature so I am not demanding it. I just need to know if you are going to continue to support this project so I can make alternate plans if you are not.
Thanks,
Kelark

Hi
Yes. The product is continuing supported. The development was slow because (not sure I mentioned somewhere before or not) I had to spend my time to prepare / build my house.
We just finished new year holiday and come back to work from last week, so I will need to have this week to work on remaining works/support requests in queue, after that, I can focus on improving products.
One of the difficulty with assigning custom fields to category is that at the moment, EB allows you to assign one event to different categories (more than one accepted).
So when users register for an event, how we know what category we will get custom fields from ? Maybe we will have to change the way EB works alitle. Lets say when you add event, you can assign it to Main Category (which we will get custom fields from) and then additional categories (multiple - select, a different field).
Not sure it will work for you ? Have some thoughts about it ?

What we need is
- set custom fields globally (for all events)
- create custom fields for an category NOT for an event
So we can create some custom fields globally for all events.
And very important we can set custom fields to an category.
Example:
12 custom fields
Number 1 - 4 is use global for all events.
custom field number 5,6,7,8 is set to category 1
custom field number 9,10,11,12 is set to category 2
User in FE create an new event to category 1 and this event is using 1-4 and 5 -8
Another user in FE set an event to category 2 and this event is using 1-4 and 9 -12
Now i hope you understand what we need.
In BE i need to set custom fields to category not to events. Global custom fields and custom fields for an category. I think, this is more the way as joomla! works.
Thank you Tuan for your great support!
