apostrophe in fields display as \\\' was created by Elliott Benzle
Hi, we're having an issue where registrants with an apostrophe in their name are displaying the apostrophe as \\\' or \'.
For example, the name o'Brien will be displayed as o\\\'Brien in their confirmation email.
I understand this is to prevent SQL injection, but how do we fix this when displaying the name in other areas. Do I need to go through all of the code and add stripslashes() anywhere field data is displayed?
Thanks

Hi Elliott
Please contact your hosting provider, ask them to turn of magic quote GPC and it will work well. See docs.joomla.org/How_to_turn_off_magic_quotes_gpc_for_Joomla_3 for instructions from Joomla.
