event can't show

My joomla :2.5.8, eb:1.5.3
It's so strange!
First.
Recently I create an event, and menu(type:Categories List ) can't show correct total number of events.
For example,I have three events, however, it shows 'one event' .

Second.
I set the start day of event is 8/19~8/30, 8/19 I can see this event.
But, 8/20 it doesn't show! I have to change the setting to 8/20~8/30, the event appears.
Please help, thanks!

First of all, 1.5.3 is a very old version of the extension. So you should consider upgrading your site to latest version of Events Booking (version 2.0.3) in the future

Back to your issue, I think the reason is because you config Events Booking to hide past events and it causes the issue. Please go to Events Booking -> Configuration, find the config option Hide Past Events, set it to No and the past events will be showed
