Events not allowing registration

Hi Tuan,

I have several events that start in August 2015 and end June 2016. I changed the "hide past events" to 'no'. I have the registration cutoff date ending June 1 2016, but the front-end still shows that the event is no longer accepting registrants. Any ideas?

The reason is because the extension doesn't allow registration for past events. When an event is started, the extension doesn't allow registration anymore

In your case, the event start date is 24-08-2014, it is a past date already and that't the reason the extension doesn't allow registration

You can edit the event, change event date to a future date and it will allow registration

In lots of cases this is true. However, there are many times when an event is a long-term event, and we want people to still be able to sign up throughout the course of the event. I think it would make sense to have the "registration cut off date" be the determining factor of when the registrations were available or no longer available. You haven't had any other requests for the cut off date to be the determining date for registrations? Any chance this is an option? In our case, we would have to change the start date to be almost the end date for events which run the entire school year. This is going to be confusing for our parents.
