Link to Event in Article

Hey All,

I just curious if there is a way to link to an event from an article as a link?

My thought is that we have events that people sign up for but there is also the opportunity for a vendor to sponsor the event. Hopefully I would be able to not publish the vendor event and just have a direct link to the vendor event in the details of the main event without having the normal registrants see it on the calendar.

Hi Aaron

To be honest, I don't really understand what you are trying to do. If you want to link to an event from an article, I think the easiest way would be:

1. Create a hidden menu item to link to that event

2. Using the link generated by that menu item and add that link to the article you want. Usually, the link have the format:

yoursite.com/index.php/menu-item-alias

or

yoursite.com/menu-item-alias

(this depends on the settings on your site)
