Name, First_Name and Last_name

Hi there,

there is another question. I am merging the original Joomla user system to register the event. However, there are 2 name fields in Event booking, Last_Name and First_name, how can we combine the name field?

PS. I think I have found the reason, you have an algorithm to split the first name and last name. But since there are some cases like George William Bush, or Dr. Charlie Harper, the system may not get the first name right. In the latter case, the first name became Dr., instead of Charlie.

So exactly what's the rule to get First Name field ? Last name is the last word? And First Name is the remaining?

I guess it would be very complicated.

Since I adapted Social login, there will be different rules from Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. There are some people, especially at LinkedIn, who tend to use their professional titles. Even LinkedIn has no good solution for this part. And sometime there are middle name or double family name (family name from mother and father, it's rare but happens), which is sometime in European countries.

So, I guess, a full name, would be better, just [First_name] [last_Name]

So maybe the reason would be unpublish the last_name field in Events Booking? Then I can help editing the code so that the first_name field will be auto filled from the name of user account?

nevermind, I've just activated the Last_name.
It's a common problem with every website with name issue.
