Timezone in upcoming eventnot working as expected

Hi
I was wondering about the upcoming events module and timezone settings:

Timezone configured correctly in Joomla server settings (Set to Vancouver while I am on Vancouver Island).
Still it takes events several hours to disappear after they are completed.

When clicking on event, I do get a message though that they can't be booked anymore BUT I would rather have them disappear as soon as they start.
I didn't find any settings in the module - is there any way to change that?

That's strange as I believe the code is correct. Could you please send me:

1. Super admin account of your site

2. The link to the page

3. Tell me the event which is having the issue

I am going to check to see why it happens and get it sorted
