Update to latest version issue

Dear customers

If you are using Events Booking older than 2.12.2 (or Membership Pro older than 2.7.1) and try to update to latest version using Joomla update eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/getting...on#use-joomla-update , you will get Error Failed to download package issue

The reason is because we implemented an SSL certificate for our website recently, so the download link was changed and it causes the issue

If you get that error, please access to My Downloads menu item www.joomdonation.com/my-downloads.html , download latest version and upgrade it to your site manually for this update

For future updates, you can again use Joomla updates

I cannot update the component because my current version is 2.12.1.
I tried to donwload it from your web site, unsuccesfully (dowload expired). My support ended on 12-26-2016.
Is my eligibility to update the component expired too?

If you want to continue getting update and support, please purchase a new license of Events Booking (to support our development, too).

In order to manually update do I simply download the package and then install it using Extensions/Manage/Install?

I don't want to overwrite something I shouldn't.

Yes. You can simply download latest version and install it manually. All your existing data will be kept

Custom Field Issues

Does anyone else have issues with the most recent release? All my custom field are being displayed in all events.

I have tried to recreate them, and still they show up in all events.

Unless there are customization to the code, I could not see any reasons why it happens

You can update, then send me super admin account of your site. And tell me exactly what's wrong, I am going to check to see why the issue happens and get it sorted for you

when i try to manually update I get the following error

Cannot install Membership Pro in a Joomla release prior to 3.4.0

Error installing package
however i have joomla 3.4.8

Actually, the latest version 2.13.2 requires Joomla 3.5.0+. You , however, should update your site to latest version of Joomla 3.6.5

The reason is because Joomla older version has critical security issue, so it will be risk if you keep using that old version
