After the update I am having an issue with images, the images are being displayed larger that it should.

Is it for new events you created or for existing events? In Configuration of Events Booking, there are two config options called Thumbnail Width and Thumbnail Height, please check and make sure it is configured to correct size

Then try to create new event, check the rendered images to see how it goes

I did not change any settings, I use an existing event then I change the info then click on Save as a copy.
Now on my site I have both sizes. the old ones remain the same size. and any new one it will appear big.
