Custom field type: URL was created by Karel Beukema toe Water
I need to add a link to my Registration Form which, when clicked upon, will open a JPG file (stored within the Joomla! structure).

I have created a custom field of the URL type but do not quite understand how I can make this work. The documentation does not mention anything about this type of custom field.

Could you please clarify and/or tell me what to do?

Thanks

Hello

The URL field type is used to allow registrants to enter an URL on registration form when they register for the event

So that's not something you are looking for. In your case, maybe you should use Message field type instead. You can enter the message you want to display (in this case, maybe a HTML a tag which is linked to your image) and it should be fine

(Try to enter the HTML code into Description of the field, then check to see whether it works for your need)

Thanks, so now at least I know what is not going to work.

I am unfamiliar with HTML code and any sort of programming for that matter. So, could yopu please explain exactly what I should do.

Thanks
